Chapter 15:  The Ring & the Mountain

It was still the same day. My team immediately returned back to the base with the unconscious Ulquiorra in tow. We immediately placed him on one of the extra beds. We were silent until the others arrived. The moment SonicAsura came in she blew a fuse when she saw Ulquiorra. Why is there an “ARRANCAR” here? SonicAsura asked. Seeing Ulquiorra must have snapped something within her tragic past. Arrancar? Is that what he is? Daxter asked. What are Arrancars? Jak asked. Beings who are half Hollow which are evil spirits that devour people’s soul & half Soul Reaper which is a being that transports spirits to the Soul Society & destroy Hollows. He is an Espada. A high ranking & powerful Arrancar. SonicAsura explained.

It seems you don’t like them so much. Can you tell us why? Inferno Blade asked. I…don’t want to talk about. Why is he here? SonicAsura answered with a question. We found him unconscious at the Mountain Temple. Couldn’t have left him there for dead. I replied. I’m tired & I don’t want to deal with this right now. We discuss about it tomorrow. SonicAsura answered. We all decided to call it a day. The next morning…I was the first one to wake up. The reason was I was kind of worried about Ulquiorra both good & bad. When we kind of first met it wasn’t nice but something about him this time was different but I couldn’t make it out. Plus I was worried he might be pointing a sword at my head. I looked he was there next to me only the sleeping Raiden, Melody & Velanova(who needs to get their own bed but I don’t mind). I quietly got out of bed without waking them up & walked to Ulquiorra’s bed.

He was still lying there unconscious but peacefully resting. (He’s still asleep. Whatever knocked him out did it hard but that person must be really powerful if they could do that.) I thought. I didn’t want to stay here for some reason. Like something was telling to go to the Bazaar today. (Maybe I should check out the Bazaar today. After all today I don’t have a mission today. I’ll leave a note so they won’t worry about me.) I thought. I quickly wrote a note & stuck it to Stormo’s face (specifically his nose) & left the warehouse. I headed to the Bazaar on foot running but not too fast. I was watching the scenery & the lookout for any Krimzon Guard who was going to cause trouble for me. Also people have been giving me strange looks ever since I came here. Probably because they noticed that I was in armor & I don’t look like one of their kind.

I arrived to the Bazaar in a few minutes. I got to say. This place was packed with people but made it very lively. I decided to walk around & look at the shops. Man, there are so many shops here. Clothing, weapons, food & a whole lot of other stuff. I said. I walked up to one of the markets selling fruit which was run by a white man with blue & black hair in his twenties wearing a white shirt, brown pants & black boots along with a green apron & brown gloves. Welcome! Welcome! Can I help you? We got the freshest fruit & crops right here! We want some? The man asked. Sure. I’ll take a dozen apples. I answered as I handed the money to pay for it & a little bit extra. Thank you & here your apples! The name’s Ken. Ken answered as he gave a bag of fresh red apples. My name is Geri. Thanks for the apples. I replied. Your welcome & come by anytime! Ken answered. Sure will. I said as I left.

I took one of the apples & noticed he gave me 4 extra apples which was generous of him. I smiled took the apple & ate it as I walked around. I was walking when something twinkled from the distance. I looked to my left & saw an accessory shop right there but what caught my eye was a golden dragon style decorated with red flames ring with a red ruby like jewel in it inside a clear case. It was beautiful. I walked up to the shop. A lady came up to me. That’s one beautiful ring. I said. You like huh? I just got this ring yesterday & it seems to be attracting a lot of customers lately. You got quite the taste. The lady answered. How much for it? I asked. 5000 or trade me something with equal value. The lady answered. I don’t have 5000 on me but I have something you might want. How about this? I asked as I took a baseball sized sphere of solid gold. It got the lady’s attention. This is beautiful & perfect for making some rare accessories. I’ll take it. Here you go. The lady said as she took the ring out of the case & gave it to me. I put the ring on my finger & felt a strange sensation for a minute.

This isn’t no ordinary ring. They say there is a strange power within this ring. I found it in the mountains. You might get some nice info about it there. The lady answered. Okay. I said. I left the Bazaar & headed straight towards the Mountain Temple. I arrived at the mountains in 10 minutes with the apples in my bag. She said that one of the temple ruins at the center is where she found the ring. I guess I’ll check there. I said as I headed deeper into the mountains but I was being followed. I was walking through the mountains until I had a bad feeling. Something was ominous in the wind. ! I thought. All of a sudden a powerful & huge dark energy blast blasted me from the back which also electrocuted me. That blast did major damage to me. I was seriously injured & bleeding badly. My vision was beginning to become blurry. What…the? I asked weakly. I now knew I wasn’t safe.

With all of my might I quickly fled trying to avoid my unseen pursuer. Which wasn’t going so well. I was barely dodging the blasts of energy. I managed to see a cave up ahead. I immediately speeded up towards it. I was about to enter until another blast came from behind & blasted me in there. I flew & landed hard to ground unconscious. I was lying there almost dead & unconscious but also not aware of my surroundings. I was in darkness & couldn’t see. Until I heard something. It was the sound of whining of animal. Precisely an infant. Then I felt something wet on my body going up my arm. I slowly woke up. …Huh? I asked. I looked to see a surprise. A 3 & a half tall wolf like white cute & cool cub with light blue eyes, soft & lush white fur, a lion & kind of spear like tail, black ears, small claws & small fangs wearing some purple armor & helmet on its body. I was a bit surprised especially when it decided to lick me on the cheek.

I slowly sat up & noticed all of my wounds were gone. Well, hello little guy. What are you doing here? I asked. Squeak. Squeak. It answered. It was an infant(a really big infant) from the sound of its whimpering. I was about to ask another question until I heard a cracking noise coming from behind me. I turned to see two eggs about a few inches bigger than the little infant like creature & both were hatching. Just great. Both eggs suddenly hatched as two big 3 ft & 8 inch tall dragon like lizards with fan like ears, small sharp claws & small fangs came out but both were different. One was red & yellow with purple & red fan like ears & purple eyes while the other was blue & gray with blue eyes & blue & white fan like ears. I stood there surprised yet I had to admit they did look cute. The two lizard like creatures approached me. The two licked me as well which meant one thing. I was imprinted by all of three of them.

What happened to your parents? I think they worried about you. I asked but what I said also hit me. The parents would never leave their infants unless they ended up dead. You poor things. You lost your parents. That’s why you’re so alone. But you don’t have to worry. I’m here for you now. I explained. The trio seemed to be very happy to hear about that. Since I’m going to take care of you that means you need names & I got some. I explained. I walked up to the cub first. You’ll be now known as Xiao Lin Akamishi. I said as I gave the little cub a gold necklace then walked to the red lizard. You’ll be Flare Akamishi. I said as I gave the little red lizard a dark red scarf & wrapped it around its neck then walked to the last one. You are Frost Akamishi. I said as I gave the last one a dark blue scarf & wrapped it around its neck. The trio was very happy about it. I then began to hear their stomachs growl. You’re hungry? I asked. The trio nodded.

I got something for you three. Here. I said as I took out all the apples I bought today from Ken. Enjoy! I said. The trio immediately ran to the apples & began to eat. I started to grow hungry as well but there wasn’t enough food for us. I looked outside of the cave. I saw a bunch of apple, banana & orange trees but also a river right next to it. You three stay here. I’ll get some more food. I explained as I quickly left the cave. I ran through the temple ruins quickly but not of the site of the cave. I made it to the trees first. There was a lot of fruit up in the trees. I grabbed some leaves & put it in a big pile of leaves. I clapped my hands & placed it on the leaves. The leaves suddenly began to glow. The leaves stopped glowing until they all took the form of a big light brown bag.

Alchemy can come in handy. I said as I picked up the bag. I immediately began picking the fruit until I had 16 of each in the bag. I closed the bag up & headed to the river. I made it to the river within a few minutes. The river was filled with a bunch of different kinds of fish that all looked good. I didn’t have a fishing rod on me but a frigid picnic basket to put the fish in. It’s time to improvise. I said. My nails turned into razor sharp long black claws in a second before my eyes. I placed my nails into the water & began to send waves of dark energy through it for a minute then stopped. The fish suddenly began to hop out of the water due to pulses of energy I pumped in the water. Ha!! I shouted as I began to catch the fish using my long claws to poke through each one catching them in my claws. I caught at least 20 before I stopped & put them in the basket. That should be enough. I said as my nails returned to normal.

I quickly returned back to the cave. I arrived back at sunset. The three were waiting for me patiently. I’m back you guys! I brought some more good food! Sorry it took so long. I guess I still haven’t recovered yet. I explained. The trio was very happy. I made the fire & started cooking the 8 of the fish at the same time. Meanwhile it was cooking the trio were playing & I was watching them. However the ring was also interesting me.  I sensed it had a strange aura to the three creatures. Like it was keeping them calm but also changing me. The one that was bringing a lot of attention to me was Xiao Lin. Something about him was special & sacred. Like this isn’t the first time we met in my heart was what I felt. The four of us eat dinner together & went asleep. I was watching the stars lying down on the floor with Frost, Flare & Xiao Lin asleep next to me & under my blanket.

I began to sing. I was singing ancient lullaby that I know. The tune echoed & was followed by the harmonious music that flowed through the mountains, forests & oceans as they echoed through the area, the city & the places around Haven City. It was beautiful. The three started sleeping more peacefully like they were having good dreams. I smiled & continued singing. As I continued I felt the presence of all of my friends with me like I wasn’t alone anymore. I continued seeing until I heard Xiao Lin actually say something in his sleep. …M…mother…? Xiao Lin asked peacefully in his sleep. I thought he was talking about his real mother & until I realized it was me.

I kept singing for a while then went to sleep before I did I felt like someone I knew was close by. Morning came as the light shined into the cave. I woke up again from the licking of Xiao Lin. Xiao Lin, Flare & Frost were up & ready to go. So they were making sure I was up because I had to return back to the warehouse before any of my friends begin to worry about me. Thanks Xiao Lin. I answered. We quickly ate & headed out back to the warehouse. The four of us were running through the mountain’s ruins (me at a speed so they could easily catch up with me) until  I began to feel that wicked presence from yesterday & immediately stopped so did the three. They looked at me puzzled yet worried. I noticed there was a small cave to the right of me. Flare, Frost & Xiao Lin! Go into that cave & stay there until I say its alright! I ordered.

The three however didn’t want to go but stay with me. Just go!! I howled in fury. The three quickly ran into the cave & watched me from a far. I stared at mountain side in front of me. Come out & face me coward unless you’re afraid!!! I howled in complete fury. Dark lightning & metal suddenly began to erupt from the ground in front of me. The lightning took the form of a giant dragon like demon while the metal took the form of black demonic armor, black claws, wings, tail, horns & two giant sabers along with red eyes, & black horns. Corrupted Thunder. I said. Found you…Tri Clan girl. Corrupted Thunder answered with a wicked expression. Tri Clan? I belong to two clans not three. I replied. Poor girl…don’t know much about yourself. Still left in the dark. Allow me to drag you down deeper into the darkness. Corrupted Thunder answered.

You’ll be the one defeated not me! Let’s go Zanrakudrazulmaru! I shouted as I drew my golden dragon fang like blade from its scabbard. Dark Lightning Slash!! Corrupted Thunder howled as he fired a gigantic dark lightning slash with a swipe of one of his sabers. Zanmaine! I shouted as I fired a huge golden fiery slash with a swipe of Zanrakudrazulmaru. Both attacks wiped each other out with fierce power. Terrazan!! I shouted as I stabbed the ground with my sword releasing a gigantic power of earth energy from underneath Corrupted Thunder. Urgh! Corrupted Thunder howled in pain as it managed to get out of the blast before it destroyed him. I pulled Zanraku out of the ground quickly. Twin Corrupted Lightning!! Corrupted Thunder roared as he fired 2 huge dark lightning blasts from his sabers. I immediately dodged but my right leg didn’t come out unscathed. Urgh!! I howled as I coughed up blood. I managed to land on my feet. My leg was burned badly & bleeding but the wound started to close quickly.

That’s right you have the 9 Tailed Beasts sealed within you so you have far more powerful & advanced regenerative abilities freak. Corrupted Thunder explained. Give me flight! 7 Tailed Beetle! I shouted as two yellow & red wings with red beetle like wings on each appeared on my back. I used the wings to quickly take flight. Dark Lightning Storm!!! Corrupted Thunder roared as he unleashed a barrage of giant dark lightning bolts from the sky at me. I began to dodge the lightning bolts with unbelievable speed & agility & soared high into the sky. 6 Tailed Style: Poison Bullet!!! I howled as I fired a huge purple bullet like oozing poison from my mouth. Rasenzan!!! I howled as I fired a huge wind spiral sphere from Zanraku.

The two attacks merged creating a purple poison spiral tornado of mass destruction. The attack blasted Corrupted Thunder afflicting some serious damage & poisoning. Very smart. Using the abilities of those monsters sealed inside of you to gain & advantage. But can you handle this! Corrupted Rampage!! Corrupted Thunder roared as his power majorly increased & he went on a complete rampage on me even if he was severely poisoned. I began to dodge the attacks but he was fast. At the end I got bombarded by a barrage of punches. I was sent flying straight towards a tree. I managed to recover in midair & took high into the skies. 4 Tailed Style: Lava Rock Barrage!!! I howled as I unleashed a barrage of burning molten rock from my hands. Corrupted Thunder took some serious damage from the attack but still was enraged. He immediately began to fire huge dark lightning slashes at me. Zanraigen!!! I roared as I unleashed a barrage of huge golden fiery & electrifying slashes with multiple swipes of Zanraku.

Both attacks collided causing a huge explosion which enveloped me. That didn’t however stop Corrupted Thunders onslaught as he began to fire more dark lightning slashes. All of them erupted within the smoke. Frost, Flare & Xiao Lin were worried but they became mad. They came out of the cave. Frost fired an icy sphere from his mouth while Flare fired an fire ball from his mouth & Xiao Lin released a powerful lightning bolt from his body straight at Corrupted Thunder. All three attacks hit Corrupted Thunder but none did any damage to it. Corrupted Thunder faced the trio & they all looked scared as he approached them. LEAVE THEM ALONE!!! I howled as I emerged from the smoke in a huge red & golden fiery dragon beast. Ryuga Zan Cavale!!! I shouted as I slammed straight into Corrupted Thunder with fierce power sending him flying into multiple pieces that burned to ashes in an explosion. The energy & flames disappeared as I landed before my wings vanished as well.

The trio ran to me very happily. They leaped on me & I ended up getting slobbered. Okay!! Okay! You were worried & happy but this is over doing it!  I shouted. The trio stopped & got off of me as I got up. I’m just glad that was over. Corrupted Thunder was really powerful. I said. Geri!! Someone shouted. I turned to see Jak & Daxter running towards us. Jak! I shouted. The duo stopped in front of us. There you are! We were looking for you! Jak shouted. Daxter noticed Flare, Frost & Xiao Lin & suddenly freaked. AAAH!!! Monsters! Shoot them Jak! Shoot them! Daxter screamed as Jak noticed the trio. You won’t be shooting them! They’re my friends but more specifically infants. I explained. Infants? Jak asked. I came here looking for some info on this ring when I got attacked by a heartless. I ended up in a cave where I met these three. They kind of imprinted on me. Anyway meet Xiao Lin, Frost & Flare. I explained. Ahaha!! They think you’re their mother! That’s rich! Daxter laughed. Daxter! I howled as my right hand grew long black claws that Daxter noticed.

He immediately shut up before my claws returned to normal or ripped him to shreds. So that’s what happened. At least you left a note but they wanted me to get you by the way I found this. Jak answered as he gave me a small stone tablet inscribed with ancient writing. A tablet? I asked. Yeah. I found it at the temple. Maybe you decipher it after we get back. Jak explained. Alright. Let’s go. I said. The 6 of us returned home after an exhausting adventure. There was more to the trio of infants that now accompany me especially Xiao Lin. Xiao Lin had this sacred aura to him that was strangely familiar. It was like I met his kind before. However our guest was going to lead us into some serious situations but that wasn’t going to stop us that easily.
