Chapter 13: Dark form
It has been a week since the Haven Jungle mission. I found out what happened to me in the jungle from the Jelmagyara. It said that I became a creature known as a Xam’d. Xam’d are half mecha & half human creatures of lost memories. A person becomes a Xam’d by a ritual that sacrifices the person who casts it but merges a person with a gem called a hiruko or soul of Xam’d. That girl was part of the religion that changes worthy people into Xam’d. I didn’t like the sound of it either. It was horrible to sacrifice innocent lives for this ritual. Today I was going to gain a dark power. I woke up this morning with the same dream over again. I had a bad feeling today & that dream was connected to it. I looked at the hiruko in my arm. If the hiruko was red I’ll end going in my Xam’d form or my arm transformed into the Xam’d arm but if it’s blue that means I won’t transform. It was blue so it must be “sleeping”. I was still getting used to the hiruko in my arm. I remembered multiple times my arm transformed when I didn’t need to. I had 4 hours before my next mission starts. I got myself ready & went downstairs. I didn’t smell SoulFlare’s cooking because I woke up early but I saw Asura downstairs. Good morning Asura. Why are you up this early? I asked. Good morning Geri. I don’t know why but I can’t shake this weird feeling like something is about to happen. Asura said. You’re not the only one. Hey Asura, do you want to go walk around the village with me? I asked. Um…Asura said. Hey, it helps clear my head when I’m stressed plus it’ll save us some time. I said. Okay. Asura said. There was a beautiful sun rise. We walked out of the house but were in for a surprise. Right there on our porch was a 6 or 7 ft tall 17 year old tan buff kind of handsome man with yellow green hair, a yellow green goatee & very long pointy ears wearing black goggles with red lens, a blue vest, red scarf, gray pants, & black boots & next him was a about 2 ft half tall skinny orange creature that looked like an otter & weasel combined wearing brown goggles was there. They were unconscious. Holy crap!!! What happened to them?! Asura shouted. Let’s get them inside. I said. I picked up the man while Asura picked up the ottsel & we brought them inside. We took them upstairs to my room. I put the man on my bed & Asura placed the ottsel next to him. I took my blanket & covered them. I’ll go get them something to drink when they wake up. I said. I went out of my room & downstairs. I went into the kitchen & filled two glasses with water. I hurried back up & placed the glasses of water on my table. I wonder what happened to them. I said. I don’t know but we’ll find out when they wake up. Asura said. Asura, you go tell the others about this while I keep an eye them. I said. Okay. Asura said as he left room. (The man isn’t human I know that from the long ears & weird hair but why were they knocked out on my doorstep?) I thought. 2 hours past & I was reading the Jelmagyara. I put down the book to see that the two were beginning to gain consciousness. Ugh… The man said as he opened his blue eyes. Ouch… The ottsel said as he opened his black eyes. Huh? Where am I? The man asked. You’re in my room. I said. The two turned around surprised to see. Am I in heaven because I see a beautiful young lady. The ottsel said. Whoa you can talk. I said. Of course I can. The ottsel said. Who are you? The man asked. My name is Geri Draco Akamishi & you are in my room, in my house. What’s your name? I said. The man blushed when he figured out where he was. My name is Jak & this is my friend Daxter. The man said. Nice to meet you Geri but you can call me Orange Lightning. Daxter said. What happened to you guys because my friend Asura & I found you out on my doorstep knocked out? I asked. I don’t know. Jak said. Yeah. We were looking for something then the next thing we know we woke up here. Daxter said. Weird. I said. Asura walked into the room. So they are finally awake. Asura said. Whoa! That’s what I call tall, dark & angry. Daxter said. Like I didn’t hear that before. Asura said. This is Asura. He’s is a friend of mine living with me & my siblings along with his brother Yasha & my friend Lily & Velanova. I explained. Wait, there are more people living here? Daxter said. You have siblings? Daxter asked. Yeah, my sister Angel, my brother Drake & our 3 adoptive brothers  Stormo, SoulFlare & Leon. I explained. The others are up if you want to know. Asura said. Come on & I’ll introduce you to my family & my friends. I said. The two got out of my bed, Daxter jumped onto Jak’s shoulder & we went downstairs. We saw Angel in the front room. Good morning Angel. I said. Good morning Geri & Asura. So these are the two you found out on our porch. Angel said. Well, hello beautiful! My name is Daxter but you can call me Orange Lightning. Daxter said. I’m Jak, you can excuse my friend. Jak said. Hello Jak & Daxter, my name is Angel Akamishi, Geri’s older sister. Angel said. Where’s Leon, Velanova & Stormo? I asked. They are coming in about 5 seconds. Angel said. I’ll tell you this. Stormo, Leon, Drake, SoulFlare & Velanova aren’t normal. Stormo flew out of his room & landed in front of me. Holy crap! He got no limbs! Daxter shouted. This is my adoptive brother Stormo Rayman Akamishi or Stormo of the Cyclone. Stormo, this is Jak & Daxter. I explained. Hello there. It’s nice to meet you. Stormo said. Leon came out of his room & jumped on to the stair railing as he grinded down. Leon jumped off the rails & in front of Asura. You’re energetic today Leon. I said. Good morning. Finally those two are awake. Leon said. Jak & Daxter this is my adoptive brother Leon. I said. Whoa! He’s a cat boy! Daxter shouted. Of course I am & what are you? Leon asked. I’m an ottsel which is half otter & half weasel. Daxter said. Cool. Leon said. Velanova flew out of the kitchen & in front of me. Good morning Velanova. I was wondering where you were. I said. Can I say cutie. Daxter said. Oh. I glad to see the two of you are up. My name is Velanova the Victini. Velanova said. My name is Jak & this is Daxter. Jak said. How long have you been with Velanova? Daxter asked. We became partners for about 45 days but I have lot of trust in her. How long have you been together? I asked. For years since we were young. We’ve been best friends for a long time. Daxter said. Have you forgot about us? Someone asked. Adreus & Tiras emerged next to me. Holy crap! Who the heck are you guys?! A dark angel & a winged guardian? Daxter asked. My name is Tiras, the Keeper of Genesis. Tiras said. And I am Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon. Adreus said. We are both Geri’s spirit partners. Tiras & Adreus both said. Yeah, Jak & Daxter meet the ones that watch over time. They have been guiding me & lending me a hand in battle. I said. Tiras & Adreus vanished in thin air. That was quick. Jak said. Yeah, they have a habit of doing that. I said. Breakfast! SoulFlare shouted. Well, it’s time to eat. I’ll introduce to SoulFlare, Yasha, Drake & Lily in the kitchen. You’ll love SoulFlare’s cooking. I said. That is what I’m talking about. Daxter said. We went into the kitchen & sat down at the table with Drake, Lily, Yasha & SoulFlare. It’s good to see your awake. SoulFlare said. Whoa! Hello demon boy, beautiful lady, the melancholy man & the blue hedgehog! Daxter shouted. Haha, very funny. SoulFlare said. Oh brother. I knew he was going to be annoying. Yasha said. Haha. Lily said. Hey! Drake shouted. Jak & Daxter, this is my brother Drake, my adoptive brother SoulFlare, & our friends Yasha & Lily. You guys this is Jak & Daxter. I introduced. Nice to meet you. SoulFlare said. Yeah, sorry about my friend. He can be quite annoying. Jak said. Hey! Daxter shouted. Let’s just eat. I said. The moment Daxter took a bite of his eggs the dude flipped in the air & landed on the ground. Whoa! We shouted. Daxter jumped on the table immediately. That was the best thing I have ever eaten! I feel like I’m in food heaven! Daxter shouted as he began to break dance on the table. Hahahaha!! Everyone except Yasha & Asura laughed. Asura & Yasha just smiled. Jak quickly grabbed Daxter & put him in his seat. You’re an amazing cook. Jak said. Thanks. I like people appreciating my cooking. SoulFlare said. What happened to you guys? I asked. Well, you see we aren’t from this world. Daxter said. Heh, you aren’t the only one. Yasha & I aren’t from this world either. Asura said. Well, you see we were looking some energy in our world called Eco but also our friends. We were investigating a rise in eco in an area when our Eco Radar began to go crazy. It lead us to a strange portal & before we had our chance to investigate we were chased in by this huge monster known as a Metal Head. The next thing we know we wake up here. Jak explained. Weird. In our world most people have energy we call chakra. We use chakra to cast jutsu. My family are ninjas & so is our clan. You are in the Raimoto Village home to the most powerful of the secret ninja tribes: The Akamishi Clan. I explained. Wait! You’re ninjas?! Daxter shouted. Yep. We are Team Akamishi Legends, the most powerful shinobi team in our clan. I’m their Leader. In this village my sister & I are known by different alias. I’m called the Mystical Elemental Sorceress & my sister is known as Elemental Demon Warrior. I explained. Whoa. Daxter said. Yeah. We have a mission today. Do you guys want to come along? I asked. Sure why not. We might find what we’re looking for if we come with you. Jak said. Cool. I said. All of a sudden Jak’s pants pocket began to beep loudly. What the? I asked. Jak took out a strange radar like machine with the shape of a speed radar a cop has to see how fast a person is going but also the look of Bulma’s Dragon Ball radar together. The Eco Radar has picked up a huge source of … Dark Eco?! Jak shouted. What’s Dark Eco? I asked. It’s a Dark energy that has bad effects on objects. Daxter wasn’t an ottsel until he accidently came in contact with a huge batch of Dark Eco. It’s coming from in here! Jak shouted. When the radar faced me it glowed red & beeped louder. Jak & Daxter had a worried look on their face. What is it? I asked. You… are filled with Dark Eco!!! Jak shouted. !!!! We thought. What?! I asked. Not just a small amount. I mean a huge amount. Like tons of Dark Eco had been pumped into your body. Jak explained. What happens to a person with a whole lot of Dark Eco in them? Yasha & Asura asked. Dark Eco can have bad effects on a person’s body. It’ll mutate their body. Daxter had it easy become the amount came in contact didn’t have “serious consequences” but this amount could transform her into a monster if she becomes enraged. Did you know how this happen? Jak asked. Wait a minute! Remember that battle with that giant shadow ogre when the giant vortex of dark energy shot a giant bolt of purple lightning into you. Remember when your attacks became Dark attributed & those weird dreams you’ve been having. That vortex must have injected you with Dark Eco! Stormo shouted. You’re right! I shouted. Jak, why do you know so much about Dark Eco? I asked. Because when I was a young teenager, I was kidnapped & had Dark Eco injected into my body for 2 years until Daxter saved me a few days ago but the Dark Eco changed me. I almost killed my best friend if he didn’t snap me out of it. Jak explained. !!! We thought.  We have to get ready for our mission. I said. Velanova turned invisible while SoulFlare & Leon took on their human form. Stormo & Drake put on black cloaks that covered their whole body. We’ll introduce you to Fujimoto, our clan leader. Lily watch the house while we’re gone. I said. Okay. Lily said. We left the house & went to Beast Tower. This is some village. Daxter said as they looked at the beautiful scenery of the village. Yeah. This village is kept secret along with others so it won’t be attacked by any of the 5 Shinobi Nations. There only a few people that know of our existence but they are all people we can trust. Them & the other secret tribes know about us. I explained. I see. Jak said. There are others reasons why our clans are secret but I can’t tell you yet. I said. ? Jak & Daxter thought. We arrived at the Beast Tower to see Fujimoto & Kyo in front of the tower talking. Good morning Kyo & Fujimoto. I said. The 2 turned & were surprised to see us. Good morning Team Akamishi Legends. Who are your friends? Fujimoto asked. This is Jak & Daxter, we were just showing them around. Jak & Daxter this is our leader Fujimoto Akamishi & his son Kyo. I explained. Nice to meet you. Jak said. It’s pleasure to meet you. Fujimoto said. Yeah. Kyo said. So what’s today’s mission? I asked. There have been sightings of creatures in deep in the Raikon Mines but there are also reports of a person in a black robe there as well. I want you to investigate this disturbance & put a stop to it. Fujimoto explained. You can get to the Raikon Mines by going southeast of the village. Kyo said. Okay. Then let’s go already. Jak said. We quickly headed out towards the Raikon Mines. We running on the forest path at full speed. When I looked at Jak I noticed he was far behind. Stop! I shouted as we stopped. I glad you stopped or you’ll left us in the dust! Daxter shouted. You guys aren’t that fast so this could be a problem. We can’t leave our teammates behind. Leon said. Then an idea popped into my head. I might be able to help. I said. How? Daxter asked. Watch this. “Spirit of the wind I call upon your power.” I chanted as a green array appeared beneath me & green wind like runes enveloped my body. “Let me soar through the clouds & roar like thunder. Grant me the power to ride the wind! Mystical Transformation: Halbird, the soaring storm!” I chanted as I was enveloped in a light green energy tornado. The form of body changed as my arms turned into light green wings, I grew silver feathers over body as I took the form of a majestic eagle, silver armor covered my body, my eyes turned golden & like a birds, I grew a razor sharp gray beak & my feet became talons. The array, tornado & runes vanished as my transformation was complete. I was three times the size of Asura & Yasha put together. Whoa! I didn’t you know you can do that! Jak shouted. Now that is what I call awesome. Daxter said. That is one reason why I’m called the Mystical Elemental Sorceress. In this form I not much of a fighter but I can transport people to their destination with incredible speed. Since you guys can't keep up, I’ll let you ride me. I said. That takes care of our problem. Asura said. Now get on my back. I said. The 2 got on my back quickly. Hold on tight! I shouted as I took flight fly into the sky & took off. My team immediately followed me. Whooooaaa!!!! Daxter shouted as he hanged on for dear life. Now this is what I’m talking about! Whoo ho ho!!! Jak shouted. Stormo, Drake & Velanova appeared next to us. Yep! I love flying! Riding the wind & soaring through the clouds. It’s an amazing feeling! Velanova said. I’ll agree with you on that one. Jak said. Us too! Drake & Stormo shouted. We arrived above the Raikon Mines. There is our destination. Prepare for landing! Hold on tight! I shouted as I dived down to the ground fast. AAAAAAAAGHHHHH!!!!!!! Daxter screamed as he hanged on for dear life again. I landed perfectly on the ground along with Drake, Stormo & Velanova. The rest of the team arrived after us. Jak & Daxter got off my back before I went back to normal. We’re here. I said. The entrance to the mines gave off an ominous feeling from the inside that began to stir something within me. I don’t like that feeling. Daxter said. Cmon. We’re with you all the way don’t forget that. I said. Thanks. Daxter said. We walked into the dark mine. There was dim lighting but we could still see. There were rusty mine cars scattered everywhere with a couple of pick axes as well. This wasn’t abandoned until 50 years ago when the discovery was made that led to strange “incidents”. I explained. Incidents & what discovery? Jak asked. 50 years ago this mine was used to excavate materials used for building & forging weapons. One day some miners discovered something. They dug up black crystals that hold a dark energy inside. These crystals had an evil aura radiating from them but the miners began to dig up more of these crystals for their own gain. Then mysterious incidents happened that caused all the miners to disappear & end up dead the next day. A legend was born. It’s said that one of the miners greed was so great the energy of the crystals transformed him into a terrible monster that goes after those who disturbed these dark crystals. They called it the Tunnel Lurker. Legends say this monster haunts this very mine, protecting the crystals & waiting for its next victim. I explained. That scared the living crap out of Daxter. Okay. I want to go home! Daxter shouted. Don’t worry Daxter. We won’t let anything bad happen to you. You can count on us. I said. Okay. Daxter said. We came across 3 mines carts that lead deeper into the mine but going the same way. We heard a loud roar coming from deep in the mines. I don’t like the sound of that. Daxter said. It’s coming deeper within the mine. We can take this mine cars down. I said. Asura, Yasha, Stormo & Drake went in one mine car. Daxter & Jak went into the another. The rest of us went into the last mine car. We pulled the lever & headed down deeper into the mine. The track was leading the mine cars everywhere through the whole mine & began going down in spirals fast. Whoa!! Stormo & Daxter shouted. The further we went down the more I began to sense dark energy as it grew stronger. We’re getting close! I shouted. We finally stopped in front of a tunnel opening. Inside I felt a huge amount of dark energy. I began to feel sick like the dark energy was doing something to me. We’re close. We need to go through the tunnel. I said. We better proceed with caution. Yasha explained. We went through the tunnel. We arrived at a huge room with it’s walls surrounded with black crystals & at the end a huge black crystal. The moment I walked in I began to feel really weak as my chakra began to go crazy. I felt something go on a rampage within me. Jak’s Eco Radar began to go insane. The Dark Eco readings are going off the charts! These are Dark Eco Crystals! Jak shouted. Urgh!! I shouted in pain as I went on my knees. Geri! Asura shouted. What’s wrong? Yasha asked. My chakra is going insane & my body is going numb. I explained. It’s the crystals. They’re affecting her. Jak said. We have to get her out of here quick! Daxter shouted. ROAR!!! Something roared. A giant gray spider like humanoid monster came from above the ceiling. It was 130 ft with 8 yellow eyes, razor sharp fangs, long scythe like claws, blades on it’s 6 arms, & 6 spider like legs on it’s back. There is our target! It’s the Tunnel Lurker! SoulFlare shouted. Everyone get ready! Velanova protect Geri! Yasha shouted. On it! Velanova shouted as she flew in front of me. Everyone! We have to protect Geri & Velanova destroying this foul beast! Yasha shouted. Jak! Here! I shouted as 2 golden sphere of energy flew out of my hand into Jak & Daxter. Whoa! I feel powered up! Jak shouted. I feel amazing! Daxter shouted. I gave you some of my powers. Jak, you now have the power of light, fire, & wind. Daxter, you have the power of earth, ice, & lightning. Be careful. I warned. Thanks. Now this will give us an advantage! Daxter shouted. Here it comes! Jak shouted. The Tunnel Lurker began to fire purple acid from it’s mouth at them. Fire Dragon’s Roar!! Drake shouted as he let out a huge fiery breath like roar from his mouth. Inferno Shot! Velanova shouted as she fired a huge fireball from her hands. Their attacks canceled out & destroyed the venom. Let’s try out these new powers! Inferno Bullet!! Jak shouted as he created a huge sphere of flames from his hands & fired it at the Tunnel Lurker. Have a taste of this! Spark Drive! Daxter shouted as he jumped off Jak & ran towards the Tunnel Lurker enveloped a huge blast of orange lightning going at incredible speed. Both of their attacks hit the Tunnel Lurkers head doing major damage. Daxter jumped back onto Jak’s shoulder before the lightning vanished & before he was sent flying by the monster. "Sword of the inferno I call upon you! Burn them to ashes Raikora!" Angel chanted as a 5 ft wide & 9 ft tall red fire blade sword with a fire like hilt appeared in Angel's hand. “Howl with the flames Fira Raikou Azulmaru!” (ancient translation: Blue & Red Fire Wolf) SoulFlare shouted as he took out his blade & red & blue flames enveloped it. His sword transformed into a red & blue wolf head shaped blade with yellow metal eyes, black end tip nose, red & gray razor sharp fangs & red & blue metal ears with a blue & red fang style hilt. The flames vanished as SoulFlare’s sword fully transformed. Azul Fire Raku!!!! SoulFlare shouted as blue flames enveloped his sword’s metal fangs. Fire Style: Inferno Blade Blast Jutsu!! Angel shouted as she fired a gigantic fire energy blast of energy from Raikora. The Tunnel Lurker dodged the attack & counter by shooting a huge web from its mouth at them. Angel, Leon, Stormo, SoulFlare & Drake were caught in the web & was rocketed into the wall forcing Raikora to vanish & SoulFlare’s blade to revert to its sealed form. Urgh! We’re trapped! SoulFlare shouted. I can’t use my powers! This web is sealing our powers! Leon shouted. Sonic Storm!! Yasha shouted as he unleashed a barrage of big light blue energy slashes from his hands.Tenken’s Fury!! Asura roared as he unleashed a barrage of red enegry fists from his punches. Inferno Blast!! Jak & Velanova shouted as they fired a huge fire energy beam from their hands. Ice Storm!! Daxter shouted as he fired a huge blizzard tornado from his hands. Their attacks hit the monster’s face doing some damage but pissed it off even more. It fired a barrage of webs from its mouth. Jak was about to get caught when Daxter & Yasha pushed him out of the way causing Daxter, Yasha & Asura got caught in the webs & was rocketed into the wall. I can’t use my powers either! These webs must be made of some sort of Dark Eco that seals away our powers! Daxter shouted. Velanova & Jak are left to fight! Asura shouted. It’s just you & me Velanova! Jak shouted. Don’t worry! I got your back like I have with Geri! Velanova shouted. The Tunnel Lurker fire a gigantic blast of dark energy from it’s mouth. Inferno Shield!! Jak & Velanova shouted as they created a gigantic fire shield from their hands. The dark energy beam collided with the shield as it tried to break through. Velanova & Jak were barely holding on. It’s too powerful!!! Velanova shouted. The blast busted through the barrier & did an extreme amount of damage to them. The 2 could barely stand up. (No, if this keeps up they’ll die & I would fail protecting them. I don’t want to lose them! My family, my friends, I’ll lose everything!) I thought. (I have to fight! I have no choice!) I thought. The creature fired another blast at them. They were about to get hit when something happened. I had jumped in front of them & took the blast. No!!! Everyone shouted. (I can’t lose them! I can’t lose this battle! I will protect them!) I thought. I did something very crazy. Like I did with fire I absorbed the dark energy beam. !!! Everyone thought. However I took serious damage in the process. I could barely stand up. I… won’t let you hurt my friends. I’m not losing this battle. I… I said as I began to grow mad with intense rage & fury as a dark aura radiated from me. I’m GOING TO KILL YOU!!!!!!! I roared as a giant pillar of dark energy erupted from my body. Whoa!!! What’s going on?! Leon shouted. Uh oh! She’s going dark!!! Daxter shouted. My skin turned pale gray, my ears grew long pointy, I grew long black nails, my ponytail broke as my hair turned long & silver, my eyes became red & like a demon’s, I grew black dragons wings, I grew a gray dragon tail with black blades on it, my teeth turned into long & sharp fangs, & my armor turned black & gray demonic armor. The darkness disappeared as my transformation was complete. Holy…! Angel shouted. Geri? Velanova asked. Gr… ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I howled with a dragon/monster like roar in fury. I’m going rip you to shreds!!! I roared. Geri! Don’t let your anger consume you! Jak shouted. I… know. The anger & darkness is fierce but I am one with it. I explained. (She mastered her dark form that quickly?!) Jak thought. It’s like using 9 Tails power but I united with my darkness. Now we got a monster fight to finish. I won’t let you take any more lives! I’m the Dark Angel & I’ll protect my friends! I shouted. You want to come out? Then fine! Jak shouted. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!! Jak roared as a dark blast of energy erupted from his body. His skin turned pale gray, his eyes turned black, he grew long black claws, his hair turned white & wild, his wounds healed, black horns appeared on his head, & his teeth became fangs. The darkness vanished as his transformation was complete. Now… Let’s destroy this monster once & for all!! Dark Jak roared. The monster fired its venom at us again. Dark Golden Fire Dragon’s Roar!!!! I roared firing a huge dark golden fiery breath from my mouth. My attack busted through the acid & did extreme damage to the monster’s face. The Tunnel Lurker began to stamp the ground releasing fierce shockwaves from it. Dark Jak & I jumped into the air. Dark Bomb!!! The two of us roared as we slammed into the ground releasing a giant dark shockwave from impact. Our attacks canceled out the shockwave & did major damage to the Tunnel Lurker. Dark Jak & I jumped into the air & began to spin crazily. Dark Blast!!!! We roared as we unleashed a giant dark blast of energy from our body. Our attack hit the monster & stunned it. We landed on our feet & stopped spinning. Let’s end this!!!! I roared as a dark golden dragon aura enveloped me. I’m going to kill you!! Dark Jak roared as dark energy enveloped him. Dark Golden Dragon’s Inferno Rush!!!! I roared as I charged towards the monster at incredible speed. Dark Berserker!!! Dark Jak roared as he ran towards the monster at incredibe speed. We uppercuted the monster & sent it flying into the air. We began to unleash a barrage of attacks from every direction at the Tunnel Lurker. Dark Jak & I appeared above it. You’re Finished!!! We roared as we dived down & the energy grew more fierce. We slammed into the monster as we were enveloped in a huge explosion. The explosion destroyed it completely. Jak & I emerged back to normal as the darkness vanished. We also saw that Velanova had freed the others. That was unbelievable. You’re extremely powerful. Jak said. You’re not bad either. I said. Well, our mission here is done but we need to destroy this mine so no one will use these Dark Eco Crystals. Yasha explained. Don’t worry about that. I set down a jutsu bomb in here.
