Chapter 7: Legend of Armageddon
It has been 4 days since the battle on Mount Oni. I’ve been having strange dreams lately since that day. Last night was the weirdest. I found myself in a dark area nothing in sight. A dark flame emerged in front of me. “There are 2 that watch over time. One that guides the light & the other that guides the darkness. The reincarnations can only free & unify the Genesis & Armageddon itself or destruction shall fall upon this world once again.” The dark flame said. Before the dream ended I saw a dark angel shrouded in darkness saying Adreus then vanished. I woke up with Velanova floating in front of my bed. Good morning Geri, are you okay? You were tossing & turning in your sleep saying weird things. Velanova asked. I’m okay. I just had the most weirdest dream ever. What did I say in my sleep? I asked Velanova. You kept saying Adreus over & over again. Did you know about that name? Velanova asked. No, I’ll explain what happened when we are in the kitchen. I got out of my bed & got ready. I was in the bathroom washing my face. I stood in front of the mirror. (Why do I keep having those weird dreams? Who is Adreus anyway? That name sounds so familiar but I don’t remember hearing that name at all.) I thought. I didn’t know that I was going to discover what it meant. I got out of the bathroom & headed downstairs along with Velanova. I smelled SoulFlare’s cooking. At least that helped me think less about the name. Come on Velanova. I bet breakfast is finished already. I said. We walked into the kitchen & Angel & our three brothers sitting at the table with the food already there. You finally woke up Geri. You were still sleeping when I finished breakfast & I had to sent Velanova to go wake you up. SoulFlare explained. Sorry about that. I had the weirdest dream. I said as Velanova & I sat down. What was the dream about? Leon asked. I was a dark room face to face with a dark flame. The flame said: “There are 2 that watch over time. One that guides the light & the other that guides the darkness. The reincarnations can only free & unify the Genesis & Armageddon itself or destruction shall fall upon this world once again.” Before the dream ended I saw a black angel & heard the name Adreus. That’s not all. Velanova said I kept saying Adreus in my sleep over & over again for no reason. I explained. Adreus? Maybe Fujimoto might know something about this. I got a strange feeling we are about to find out who Adreus is & what does this all mean. Drake said. I hope. That name sounds so familiar but I never heard about it before. It’s like I knew it before I was even born. I said. Weird. Angel said. We finished breakfast & got ready. Before we head out Drake put on a long black cloak to hide himself & Velanova vanished into thin air. It was a good thing that Velanova can turn herself invisible. We headed out to the Beast Tower. It took us 5 minutes to get to Beast Tower & saw Fujimoto standing in front of the tower. Good morning Fujimoto. I said as we stopped 3 ft in front of him. Good morning Geri, Drake, Angel, Leon & SoulFlare. How are you doing? Fujimoto asked. Fujimoto, there is something I got to tell you. I said. Well, what is it? Fujimoto asked. I quickly explained to Fujimoto about the strange dream. Adreus? I don’t know anything about Adreus or about your dream. I’m sorry that I can’t answer your question. Fujimoto explained. That is okay. I said. Anyway I got a mission for you guys. Fujimoto said. What is the mission? Angel asked. Come inside for a second. Fujimoto said. We walked into Beast Tower & headed into the mission office. So what is the mission? Leon asked. You are about to go an S-Rank mission. Fujimoto said. What?! A S-Rank mission?! I shouted. Yes. There have been strange activity in Kanazuki Forest where you were sent to its waterfall. People have been vanishing in Kanazuki Forest & end up found dead the next day. Reports say that a strange dark aura radiates in the forest before a person vanishes and returns dead. I want you to find out why this is happening & put a stop to it before more people are killed. Fujimoto explained. Got it. I said. We exited the Tower & headed out towards Kanazuki Forest. (Kanazuki Forest, where I met Asura. I hope he is okay.) I thought as I began to think about Asura. We finally arrived at Kanazuki Forest but the place seemed different. The forest looked dark & it had an ominous & evil aura to it. This place seems different from before. I got a very bad feeling about this. SoulFlare said. Cmon. I said. We were walking on the forest path & I was behind the group when I noticed something gleaming in the bushes. ? I thought. I walked toward the bush & moved the leaves. I saw a broken box & in front of it was a strange card. The card was black framed & it had a picture of a gray man with long dark hair, black shadow angel wings & red eyes wearing a black & red vest, a black cloak & cassock but also black boots holding a red short energy sword in his hand & a black mask covering his eyes & nose & the back of the card had a picture of a black & brown swirling vortex. I picked up the card & began to feel a strange energy like something about the card was alive. On the top of the picture said something  that took me by surprise. The card had the name Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon written abomve the picture. !!! I thought. I put the card in my bag & reunite with my team. (I can’t believe. That is Adreus. Adreus is the Keeper of Armageddon but what does that mean? Wait a minute! The flame said that 2 watch over time. Could Adreus watch over a certain time of destruction?) I thought. Velanova turned visible. What is wrong Geri? Is something wrong? Velanova asked. Um, it’s nothing. I’m just still thinking about that dream. I said. Don’t worry. I bet we’ll find out in time just don’t worry about it. Velanova told me. (How can I not worry about it when I have it in my bag?) I thought. Okay. I said. We stopped for a minute. Do you sense that? I asked. We felt a surge of dark chakra flow through the whole forest. What is with this chakra?! Why is it so dark? Leon shouted. Geri! Can you track down the source of this chakra? Angel asked. I can try. I said as I closed my eyes. I opened my eyes as they began to glow golden & looked like a dragon’s. I saw a trial of chakra heading towards the center of the forest. I can see a trail of chakra. Follow me. I said as I lead the way. My team followed me. The more closer we got to the source of the chakra the more dark & evil it felt. It felt like something was radiating it through the whole forest. That was when I smelled something dreadful. I began to smell the scent of animal & human blood the closer we got to the chakra. Angel, Leon, Drake, Velanova & SoulFlare did as well. I smell blood. Both animal & human blood. Whatever it is that did this is up ahead. Be prepared. I warned. Understood. My team said. We arrived to the center of the forest & saw a horrible scene. We saw dried blood all over the ground & trees with skeletons of people & animals scattered. This is horrible! Velanova shouted. I began to sense the owner of this dark chakra coming closer & closer. My teeth turned into fangs as I began to grew angry. Whatever did this is coming! Prepare yourselves! I roared. A giant 100 ft shadow like demon beast with torn bat wings, black horns, sharp claws & fangs, red eyes, a spiked tail & blades going down it’s back & arms with the resemblance of a monster wolf emerged from 20 ft in front of us. There is our culprit! Leon shouted. You’ll pay for this! I roared. We were about to charge into battle when something happened. The monster roared as purple spots of energy emerged underneath Velanova, SoulFlare, Angel, Leon & Drake. ! Everyone get out of the way! I shouted. It was too late. A giant eruption of dark energy came from underneath the spots & blasted the 5 with fierce power. Arrrrrgh!! The 5 shouted as they took an extreme amount of damage. The energy vanished as they fell on their knees. Too hurt to get up. No! You’ll pay for that!! I roared. I charged toward the shadow beast with pure fury. Golden Fire Dragon’s Iron Punch!! I roared as golden flames enveloped my right arm. I punched the monster’s head but my attack seemed to do no damage. The monster knocked me away with its tail hard. Urgh! I shouted as the golden flames vanished & I took serious damage. I managed to recover in midair & landed on my feet. The monster created giant sphere of dark energy from its wings & fired it at me. Golden Fire Dragon’s Reflector!! I shouted creating a huge golden fire shield from my hands. The attack collided with the shield but it busted through & I was blasted with darkness taking major damage. Urgh!! I shouted in pain. I was still standing. It’s powerful!! I shouted. The monster fired a giant dark energy beam from it’s mouth at me. !! Golden Fire Dragon’s Rage!!! I roared firing a giant golden fiery breath bigger & stronger than my Golden Fire Dragon’s Roar. The attacks collided but the monster’s attack busted through the flames & I was blasted taking an extreme amount of damage. Geri!!!! Angel, Leon, Drake, Velanova, & SoulFlare shouted. I was lying on the group. Urgh… I said as I slowly got up. (It’s too powerful. If this continues then I’ll end up…!) I thought. Are you giving up? A voice said. (Huh?) I thought. I found myself in the dark room face to face with the dark flame. You again? Are you Adreus? I asked. Yes. I am Adreus, the Keeper of Armageddon. I know about the battle with the Monster of the Shadows. It’s power is too great for you. Adreus explained. If I don’t defeat it then my family will die along with anyone else in this forest! I can’t lose! What do I do?! I shouted. Free me from my prison! I will lend you the power to defeat unless you free me from the card! You know what to do! Now quickly! Adreus shouted. I found myself back in reality with the chant of release. I took out Adreus’s card. I closed my eyes as they returned to normal. “Spirit of darkness, I release you from your prison!!!” I shouted as I opened my eyes. The card flew out of my hand as it was enveloped in darkness. All of a sudden Adreus emerged from the darkness & next to me. Adreus was as tall as Asura. !!! We thought. I am Adreus, Keeper of Armageddon. Thank you for freeing me. Adreus said. How do I stop this monster?! I shouted. Speak the chant of Armageddon so we can do the Spirit Merge or also known as Divine Fusion. You know the chant because you are the reincarnation. Hurry! Adreus shouted. “Ruler of destruction give me all your power!” I chanted as black runes appeared on my body as a dark array emerged underneath me. “The darkness covers the land bringing destruction with it. When evil ravages the land, a new hero emerges from the darkness. The warrior bring destruction to those who threaten the innocent. Let the warrior of Armageddon rise from the darkness!!! Divine Fusion!!!” Adreus & I chanted as Adreus turned into a sphere of darkness & flew into my body. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I roared as a huge pillar of darkness enveloped me. Geri!! My team shouted. My hair turned long & dark blue, my eyes became red, my skin darkened, I grew black angel wings, my nails became claws, my sword transformed into a dark gold & black horned dragon shaped blade, my clothes transformed into a black with red flame style robe with dark golden armor on my chest & legs, with a torn black & red flame styled cape as a black mask covered my nose & eyes. The darkness, runes & array vanished as my transformation was complete. Geri? Velanova & SoulFlare asked. I’m not Geri. I am Adreura, the Ruler of Armageddon!! Ahahahahahahahahaha!!!!! I laughed. You are going to pay for what you have done!! I’m going to send you to the shadows of death once again!! I roared as I took out my blade. The monster created huge spears of darkness & threw them at me. Tensa Rai Zanraku!!! I roared as my sword fired a huge dark chaos fire breath from it’s mouth. The spears were destroyed while the monster got burned by the dark flames. It’s like she is another person. Velanova said. The monster fired a huge dark energy beam from it’s mouth. Dark Chaos Dragon’s Roar!!! I roared firing a huge dark chaos fire breath from my mouth. My attack busted through the dark energy beam & blasted the monster with fierce power. I put up my blade as I flew toward the monster. Dark Chaos Dragon’s Nightmare Punch!! I roared as dark chaos fire energy enveloped my right arm. I delivered a devastating uppercut to the monster’s face doing major damage. I flew back before the flames vanished & before the monster slammed me with it’s tail. I’m going to end this once & for all!!! Zanrakurei Murasame!!!!   I roared as dark fire chaos energy enveloped my body enveloped me as my blade transformed into gigantic scythe & fang like blade that was 10 ft long & 15 feet wide dark dragon wing hilted sword. I flew toward the monster with fury. The beast was enveloped in a dark purple energy field as it ran toward me with fury. Ultimate Move: Screaming Armageddon Destroyer!!!!!!! I roared as I flew toward the monster at incredible speed. I busted through the monster’s shield & began unleashing a barrage of devastating attacks from direction at the beast. I teleported above the monster. TAKE THIS!!!! I roared firing a gigantic dark chaos fire energy beam from my hands & scythe. The monster & was enveloped in a giant explosion. The monster was obliterated & I lost consciousness. I found myself in my subconscious again. “You free the darkness but you must free the light & unify their power. Awaken the Genesis, Tiras.” A voice told me. I began to hear someone call my name. I woke up in a hospital with half my bandaged with my siblings & Velanova at my bed along with Adreus. Urgh… What happened? I asked. Geri! You’re awake! We were so worried! Velanova & SoulFlare shouted. You destroyed the monster but lost consciousness at the same time. Adreus explained to us about who he is. That’s not all. He followed us here. Only we can see him except for Fujimoto & Kyo. Drake explained. Why are you here Adreus? I asked him. You freed me from my prison. You are the reincarnation of the hero long ago. I must serve that reincarnation. I am now your spirit partner & you are now a shaman. Adreus explained. A shaman? You mean those spellcasters that make pacts with the spirits of the dead & have them lend there power. That shaman? How did I made a pact with you? I asked. The moment our spirits merged a pact or bond was made. This bond can’t be broken. You can now use my power. Sorry about the whole personality change during the fusion. Does who merge with me have their bodies filled with chaotic energy, that changes them when they are in that form. Adreus explained. It’s alright. Without you we wouldn’t be here thank you. I’ll be here until tomorrow. I explained. See ya then. Leon said. I stayed at the hospital for the night & had Adreus fill in the blanks about the Keepers of Time but I had a bad feeling it was going to happen sooner than I thought.
