Chapter 2
Mystic Transformation & Elemental Armor!!
7 years passed since SoulFlare & Leon began to live with us. SoulFlare & I are now 13 & Angel & Leon are now 14. I have mastered the powers of Zanrakudrazulmaru, I have been studying ancient spells, chants, texts & legends from the book that was left for me when our parents died. Somehow only I was able to read the language & not my sister. The book had these chants that if said out loud & correct you transform into the creature that belongs to the chant. My sister, SoulFlare, Leon & I are part of our own team called Akamishi Legends. We go on missions together for a very long time. I now wear red & golden with silver crested armor under a orange dress with red & silver armor boots, golden earrings, my hair in a ponytail & with Zanrakudrazulmaru strapped to my back. I’m 5 ft 8 along with my sister. My sister wears a black with red flames kimono, black & red sandals, a black spiked collar around her neck, her hair in two ponytails & gray socks. SoulFlare is now at least 4 ft & a half tall & he wears the same clothes but with a yellow & red flame scarf on his waist, white bandages on his arms & waist for style with a sword strapped to it. Leon is now 6 ft 4 tall wearing a slightly torn red shirt, a light blue bandanna on his right arm, blue pants & some bandages around his legs but also 2 necklaces with a dog tag on one & a claw attached to the other necklace.    I become a great swordsman thanks to Fujimoto while Fujimoto also taught SoulFlare how to cook but also wield a sword. On SoulFlare’s 12th birthday Fujimoto gave him a black blade sword. Something about the sword was fishy to me. I woke up this morning without knowing that those chants in the book were going to grant me unbelievable power. *yawn* That was a good night sleep. I yawned. I looked at the picture of SoulFlare, Angel, Leon & I at the flower garden on top of the dresser next to my bed. I smelled eggs & toast coming from the kitchen. It looks like SoulFlare is already cooking today. I better go get ready for today’s mission. I said. 15 minutes later after I finished taking a bath, getting dress & ready I was walking down the stairs. SoulFlare, Angel, Leon & I decorated the house & gave it a good cleaning. There were beautiful paintings of on the walls, some were the moon shining above a forest with fireflies filling the night sky, a beautiful sunset over the ocean etc. I saw Leon & Angel in the living room talking. Good morning sister. Good morning Leon. I said as I joined in their conversation. Morning Geri! How are you doing? Leon asked. I’m doing okay, how about you guys? I asked. I’m just drooling over the smell of SoulFlare’s cooking. It smells so good. Leon answered as he licked his lips. Leon, you always dream about food & pranking people. I still remember that prank with the blue dye & you turned Fujimoto’s hair purple for a week. I still remember him kicking your butt for that one. Angel explained. You had to admit that was funny. I said with a little giggle. Yeah, I remember. Leon grunted as he rubbed his tail. Breakfast is finished! SoulFlare shouted. Yes! Here I come! Leon shouted as he ran into the kitchen. Oh brother. Cmon sis before Leon eats our breakfast. Angel said. Okay. I answered as we walked into the kitchen. SoulFlare had down some eggs & toast on the table’s plates. Morning SoulFlare. I said. Good morning Geri, Leon & Angel. SoulFlare said as we sat down. Leon was already digging into his food. Slow down Leon! You’re going to choke! I shouted. When does Fujimoto want to see us for our mission today? SoulFlare asked. In 15 minutes. I heard this is our first B rank mission. I explained. ! An B rank mission?! That’s what I talking about! Angel shouted. A B rank mission. We better be careful. Our foes will be stronger than a C or D rank mission. SoulFlare warned. Yeah. I said. After we finished eating Leon & SoulFlare prepared themselves.  SoulFlare transformed into a short blue & red flame hair style white teenage boy with green eyes wearing a blue & red flame style cassock & the same shoes while Leon took a form that looked almost exactly like SoulFlare’s but his hair & eyes were different & he was wearing a red vest, blue pants, red, white & black shoes & a golden medallion.  We headed toward our village leader’s tower. Fujimoto looks a little older but he acts the same & still wear the same kind of clothing. He lived in the 2nd floor of his stone tower known as Beast Sanctuary. We arrived at the tower which was decorated with beast statues. Come on. I said as we walked in. It took us a couple of minutes to reach Fujimoto’s mission room. There was a desk at the end of the desk & he was sitting behind the desk with portraits if the sunset & the forest on the walls.  Welcome. Good morning SoulFlare, Geri, Angel… & LEON. Fujimoto said as he shot a dirty look at Leon. Heh. Leon said nervously. Good morning Leader Fujimoto. We came for that mission you assigned us. I said. Alright. This is the mission info. Fujimoto said as he took out a green scroll. Here is the info. People have been disappearing in Terra Canyon. It says that each time a person disappears people hear a blood curling scream & a monster roar. This is your mission. You are to find out what happened to these people & eliminate the source of the disappearances. Understood? Fujimoto explained. Understood! Angel, SoulFlare, Leon & I shouted. Good. This is the map to Terra Canyon. Be careful. Fujimoto said as he gave me the map to Terra Canyon. We left the tower & headed out the village gate. We were leaping from branch to branch at incredible speed heading north to the dry & deadly Terra Canyon. Hey Geri! Angel shouted. What is it? I asked. What do you think the creature that carried away the people is? Angel asked. I don’t know. There is legend about a monster that lurks in Terra Canyon. The monster’s name was Earth Devourer. This monster lurks in the Terra Canyon waiting for intruders to enter the canyon then it hunts them down & devours them. No has lived to see the Earth Devourer’s true form or to escape from it. I explained. Whoa. That is some monster. Leon said. Cmon. We better hurry. The people in that canyon might have survived or whatever it is that making people vanish sets its sights on its next victim. I said as they quickly sped up. Team Akamishi arrived to the entrance of the desert like Terra Canyon. This is Terra Canyon. I said. It says that people began to disappear in the deepest part of the canyon. Problem is there are 2 routes to take & we don’t have the mapping of this place. I explained. Why don’t we split up into 2 groups? 1 group takes the left path & the other takes the right path. Leon said. Good idea. SoulFlare, you’re with me. Leon, you go with Angel. I said. Got it. SoulFlare, Angel & Leon said. Let’s head out! I shouted as we split up & headed out to our selected paths. SoulFlare & I were traveling on the path on the right. I was running ahead of SoulFlare. Hurry it up SoulFlare! There might people alive in this valley! I shouted. Slow down Geri! You’re going to fast! SoulFlare shouted. I began to run faster & left SoulFlare in her dust. After 5 minutes I stopped & looked around. She had left SoulFlare behind. Just great. I got separated from SoulFlare. I should go back & find him. I said. I looked around again & saw a human like figure standing on one of the cliffs. I couldn’t see the person’s face but I knew it was guy. I blinked & the man vanished. (Who was that? Where did he go?) I thought. There you are! Someone shouted. SoulFlare quickly arrived to my location. I told you to slow down! SoulFlare shouted. … Sorry about that. I won’t do that again. Let’s hurry. I said. SoulFlare & I continued deeper into the valley. Angel & my team were going deeper into the valley when we saw a gigantic explosion happened up ahead. !!! We thought. That sounds like a battle is going on! Come on SoulFlare! I shouted. I’m on it! SoulFlare shouted. Something is happening up ahead! Let’s pick up the pace Leon! Angel shouted. You don’t have to tell me twice! Leon shouted. We quickly ran toward the location of the explosion at full speed. Both our teams arrived to the wide opening of the valley & saw a battle was going on.  It was between a white women with black eyes, long black hair with a red streak on it wearing a short vest, a red skirt with a red cloud on it, 1 long black sock, one white long sock & black sandals fighting a gigantic brown worm like monster with razor sharp teeth & 6 eyes. Is that the Earth Devourer?! A gigantic man eating worm?! Who is that girl it’s fighting? SoulFlare asked. It’s appears so she is in trouble! We got to help her! I shouted. The girl noticed us. Who are you?! Get out of here if you want to live! The women shouted. We came to destroy that thing & we’re not living until we do! Angel shouted. !!! The women thought. I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news but here it comes! Leon shouted. The worm faced us & began to charge straight toward us. Let’s do this Zanrakudrazulmaru!! I shouted as I took out my blade. The monster charged toward us with fury. Zanrai Hyo! I shouted as her sword created a giant golden fireball & knocked it straight toward the Earth Devourer. The attack hit the monster doing some damage to it but it kept charging toward them. Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu! Angel shouted as she created a giant fireball & sent it straight toward the monster. However the attack did hardly any damage to it & it was still charging towards them. Whoa! We shouted as we quickly dodged the monster’s attack before we end up getting slammed. We landed behind the demon worm. That thing is resistant to fire style Ninjutsu & attacks! Angel shouted. Then let’s try Lightning Style! Lightning Style: Thunder Claw Jutsu! Leon shouted as lightning completely enveloped his right arm. Leon ran toward the monster at incredible speed. He slashed the back of the worm as 1,000 volts of electricity surged through it’s body. It screamed in pain it knocked Leon off sending him flying into SoulFlare. Ugh! Leon & SoulFlare shouted as they were sent flying into the canyon wall hard. (Crap! The only attacks I know are all Fire Based! My sister & Leon only know a few lightning style Ninjutsu! There gotta be something I can do to turn this around!) I thought. (I need more power in order to do more damage to this thing.) Angel thought. (Wait! Those incantations in the that book! There was an incantation that has the power of lightning! The mighty dragon of lightning: Scybora! I hope this works because if I fail then I will lose everything.) I thought. (I think that incantation in that old book might help me. Let’s try then!) Angel thought. “Beast of lightning I call upon you.” I chanted as an yellow dragon like array appeared underneath her & yellow runes appeared on my body. “Lightning give me your power! Let me electrocute those oppose me!” Angel shouted. “Soar through the thunderclouds! Strike down from above with your mighty thunder & lightning! Mystic Transformation: Scybora the Dragon Of Lightning!!” I chanted as a huge pillar of lightning erupted from the array & enveloped her. Lightning emerged out of nowhere enveloping Angel’s arms in the four of dragon claws, lightning emerged on Angel’s back forming lightning dragon wings, Angel’s nails turned into sharp claws & her teeth turned into sharp fangs. The pillar of lightning vanished revealing a strange creature. It was a red & black slightly buff & skinny dragon that was half the size of the worm monster with red & black dragon wings, razor sharp fangs, blue eyes, & red horns. Whoa! Did they just?! Leon shouted. We have to help them out! SoulFlare shouted as the two got up. Whoa. I can feel unbelievable amounts of power flowing through my body. I said. Now this is awesome! Now let’s show this monster who it’s messing with! Angel roared. The worm fired a barrage of brown earth energy beams at the 4. Lightning Dragon’s Thunder!!! I shouted as she fired a gigantic purple lightning bolt from my mouth. Lightning Style: Lightning Spears Jutsu! Angel shouted as she created spears of lightning & hurled them at the monster. Fire Style: Inferno Bullets Jutsu! SoulFlare shouted as he fired a barrage of big fireballs at the monster. SoulFlare & the worm’s attack canceled each other leaving the worm defenseless at it got zapped with 2,000 volts of electricity from my & Angel’s attack. Lightning Style: Thunder Claw Slash Jutsu!! Angel shouted as she fired a huge lightning energy slash from a swipe of her claws. Lightning Dragon’s Lightning Blade!! I shouted as lightning enveloped my wings as  I  flew toward the monster at incredible speed. I slashed the worm’s side & shocked it as Angel’s attack slashed it’s back doing major damage to it. Now it’s time for the finishing blow! I roared as I began to focus I power as lightning enveloped me. Prepare to die! Angel shouted as she began to focus her power. Lightning Style: Demon’s Thunder Blast Jutsu!!! Angel roared as she fired a gigantic lightning energy beam from her hands. Lightning Dragon’s Volt Ragnarok!! I shouted as a lightning energy field enveloped me as I flew straight toward the monster. I flew into Angel’s attack as the electric field enveloping  me grew stronger. I unleashed a barrage of attacks from every direction until I was above the monster. I took the energy field & shot it down like a thunder energy beam & blasted the worm to ashes. The lightning vanished as I landed on the ground & returned to my normal self. Are you okay? I asked the woman. I’m fine. Thank you for saving me. What’s your names? The woman asked. My name is Geri Akamishi. These are my brothers SoulFlare & Leon & my sister Angel. We’re glad your okay. I said. My name is Hinagiku. I must be going now. I have to get back to my teammates who are waiting outside for me. Hinagiku said. Hinagiku was enveloped in smoke then vanished as it cleared. … I thought. Let’s return home & report to Fujimoto about this. I said. Alright! I can’t wait! Leon shouted. We quickly returned home & report back to Fujimoto but I was still thinking about that figure I saw at the canyons. There was something familiar about it but I don’t know why.
